Experiential Learning and Skill Development in Contemporary Education

Abstract

This paper examines the selected educational theme in the context of changing learner needs,
technology, teaching practices and institutional responsibilities. It discusses opportunities for
improving engagement, inclusion, learning quality and skill development while also
considering access, teacher preparation, assessment and responsible implementation. The
paper presents a balanced contemporary perspective. Experiential learning connects
knowledge with activity, reflection and application. Projects, simulations, fieldwork,
problem-based learning and role play can help learners apply concepts in meaningful
situations. Such approaches can also support communication, teamwork, problem solving and
other transferable skills.
