Abstract

This paper examines the changing landscape of contemporary art in relation to technology,
culture, audience participation and institutional practice. It considers how digital tools and
new communication channels influence creative production, circulation and reception. The
paper also discusses opportunities, challenges, stakeholder implications and future directions,
with emphasis on accessibility, creativity, cultural value and responsible practice. Social
media has made visual communication central to everyday life and has influenced the
production and circulation of contemporary art. Artists can reach audiences beyond
conventional cultural institutions, while audiences can comment, share and reinterpret
creative content. Algorithms and engagement metrics can also influence visibility and
communication.
