This paper examines the changing landscape of contemporary art in relation to technology,
culture, audience participation and institutional practice. It considers how digital tools and
new communication channels influence creative production, circulation and reception. The
paper also discusses opportunities, challenges, stakeholder implications and future directions,
with emphasis on accessibility, creativity, cultural value and responsible practice. Art
provides an important means through which culture, memory and identity are expressed and
interpreted. Indian artistic practices are connected with regional traditions, languages,
histories and social experiences. Contemporary artists often reinterpret inherited forms while
responding to urbanization, migration, technology and changing understandings of identity.
