Preventive healthcare focuses on reducing health risks, promoting healthy behaviours, detecting disease early, and maintaining well-being throughout the life course. Homeopathy is a longstanding complementary system that remains used in several countries and has an established institutional presence in India. This paper examines homeopathy in relation to preventive healthcare, focusing on health promotion, patient awareness, lifestyle practices, early healthcare engagement, patient-centred communication, safety, scientific evidence, and opportunities for responsible integration. Some patients may use homeopathy as part of broader wellness or preventive routines, and the study of such use can provide insight into health-seeking behaviour and patient preferences. However, major scientific assessments have not established reliable evidence that homeopathy is effective for preventing or treating specific medical conditions beyond placebo effects. Homeopathy should therefore not replace vaccination, screening, risk-factor management, or evidence-based medical care. A responsible preventive-health perspective emphasizes informed choice, health literacy, timely diagnosis, appropriate regulation, and integration with established public-health measures.
