Nutrition is a central determinant of health and well-being, while healthy living increasingly depends on sustainable dietary habits, physical activity, adequate rest, and effective management of lifestyle-related risks. Ayurveda, as a traditional system of medicine originating in South Asia, gives considerable attention to food, digestion, meal routines, individual characteristics, and the relationship between diet and health. This paper examines Ayurveda, nutrition, and healthy living from a contemporary perspective, focusing on Ayurvedic dietary concepts, meal patterns, food quality, individualized nutrition, lifestyle routines, preventive health, public awareness, scientific evaluation, safety, and integration with modern nutrition science. The paper recognizes areas of potential relevance, particularly the traditional emphasis on dietary discipline and healthy routines, while emphasizing that specific dietary or therapeutic claims require appropriate scientific assessment. A responsible contemporary approach should combine traditional knowledge with modern nutritional science, food safety, professional guidance, informed choice, and attention to individual health needs.
