Abstract

Stress is a common challenge that can influence psychological well-being, sleep, concentration, relationships, and quality of life. Ayurveda, a traditional Indian system of health knowledge, approaches well-being through interconnected physical, mental, behavioural, and lifestyle factors. Traditional Ayurvedic approaches to stress management may include structured daily routines, appropriate diet, relaxation practices, meditation, yoga-related practices, breathing exercises, and selected herbal preparations. This paper examines Ayurvedic approaches to stress management and mental well-being, focusing on lifestyle regulation, mind-body practices, nutrition, traditional herbs, sleep, mindfulness, and preventive wellness. It also emphasizes the importance of scientific evaluation, product quality, professional guidance, and appropriate mental healthcare when symptoms are persistent or severe.
