Animal Behaviour and Its Relationship with Environmental Adaptation

Abstract

Animal behaviour is closely connected to survival and adaptation because behaviour influences how organisms obtain food, avoid predators, reproduce, communicate, and respond to changing environmental conditions. Behavioural responses can occur rapidly within an individual's lifetime, while repeated environmental pressures can also contribute to evolutionary change across generations. This paper examines nine major dimensions of animal behaviour and environmental adaptation, including behavioural flexibility, feeding, predator avoidance, reproduction, communication, social behaviour, migration, climate change, and evolutionary adaptation.
